To make vehicle drivers more aware of the safe passing distance between them and bicycle riders, a group called Sydney Safe Cycling has been formed. They distribute "bibs" reminding drivers that a metre matters, and ask bicycle riders to pin one of these to the back of their jerseys.

These "bibs" are yellow and highly visible and come with a variety of messages, such as "My Life Matters", "I'm a Mum", "I'm a Dad", "My Family Needs Me".

At only $5 each, plus postage, we'd encourage riders to purchase and wear a bib when out riding, especially on Safe Cycling Days. One such day is 23 August 2020.
